I can’t seem to get that name out of my head now. Gummi on
one part only though, but still…
But maybe this is a phase, the adjustment phase.
A time when you get used to how things are now. Maybe all
life is an adjustment phase. No matter where we are in life, we’re adjusting to
something new. If there’s nothing new in life, are we really living? Are we
just living in a comfort-zone where nothing changes… is that a life, or an
escape?
They say that life is just perception; we see the world
and our brains interpret it based on how we feel. We project our inner emotions
onto the world and judge it accordingly. Maybe all life needs is an attitude
adjustment, maybe we go through that phase of adjustment to see the world
differently, and to change the world we need to change our attitude.
For example; if we have, in the past, judged people based
on their lack of teeth. If we’ve seen homeless people for example and judged them
based on their lack of teeth. When we look in the mirror at our own toothless
grin, do we not see ourselves in the same light? If we associate toothlessness
with old age, when we look in the mirror do we see ourselves as old?
Once you put your denture in, you immediately become sexier…
I want you to try something. Stand in front of a mirror,
without your denture and look at yourself. Smile at yourself and think about
who you are. Who do you think you are, and who do other people think you are? Now,
are you any of these, really? Does any of that even matter? What memories come
up when you see your own toothless grin? Do any of them really apply to you, or
are you imagining it?
Now try it with your denture in place.
Do any of those opinions come up now, or have you changed
your attitude towards yourself?
Was it easy to change? Was there an actual difference in
who you are with the denture in place?
If you can change your attitude by putting a denture in,
can you do it without putting it in?
Try it, you’ll be surprised.
